The Forest Centre near Milton Keynes & Bedford is a multi-purpose facility at the heart of the Forest of Marston Vale, one of 12 Community Forests across England, designated in the 1990s to regenerate land around towns and cities, scarred by industrialisation. Its peaceful countryside location is just a few miles from the centres of Bedford and Milton Keynes, and easily accessible from surrounding major roads.
The Forest Centre, with its modern classrooms and nearby gardens, provide a fantastic base for many of our courses including our popular Explore Your Camera 1 - Get Off Auto, Explore Your Camera 2 - Developing Skills, and our Portraiture Courses. The 225 hectare Millennium Country Park which surrounds the Forest Centre contains a wonderfully peaceful Wetlands Nature Reserve with lakes, hides and woodlands.
Owned and operated by an independent charity - The Marston Vale Trust - the Forest Centre & Millennium Country Park are run as a social enterprise, with all profit generated through the Forest Centre ploughed back into creating the Forest of Marston Vale so every workshop we run makes a real difference to the environment and the local community.
