Join award-winning wildlife photographer Anna Henly at a hide in South West Scotland or in Perthshire. There is a huge number of wildlife hides at the fabulous venue in Kirkcudbright - many are seasonal as the wildlife flits in and out at certain times of the year. And similar species are seen at the hide in Blairgowrie, Perthshire.
These sessions will only run with a minimum of two students. Please contact me directly if you can't do the date which is currently advertised, and if you have a particular species you would like to photography and I can plan accordingly. There will also be a HIDE FEE which is payable directly to the hide manager on the day of the workshop for the hide rental. The meeting time near Kirkcudbright may be early in the morning, and we may finish late at night depending on which animals and birds we are photographing. The meeting time in Blairgowriie is a more friendly 10am. Lenses between 200-400mm are ideal to get the most out of these workshops, but the hide in Blairgowrie is very suitable for beginners and the wildlife is extremely close so big lenses aren't required. The huge range of species we may see include tawny owl, sparrowhawk, kingfisher, red squirrel, badger, otter, great spotted woodpecker, pine marten, red fox, nuthatch, pheasant, goldfinch, redpoll, restart, pied flycatcher, cuckoo, adder and others. Hides for certain species may only be available for a few weeks a year. Please get in touch if you would like to photograph a particular species.
We don't currently have any workshops scheduled at this venue but we do have many workshops in your region.
