We run photography courses for beginner to advanced throughout London and you can click here for a list of ALL our London venues. Our Travel & Street Photo-Walks are not complete beginner photography courses. For complete beginner's, our most popular course is Explore Your Camera - Get Off Auto run nearby on the South Bank and in Regent's Park or in Greenwich.
Going Digital London's Travel & Street Photo-Walks offer you the opportunity to develop your photography on location with feedback and advice from your Tutor, with course notes and handouts. You will learn travel and street photography tips, to develop your manual exposure skills, and travel composition skills, and to gain confidence shooting candid portraits and street scenes. Our courses are limited to 6 so you get plenty of one-to-one time! Our London Travel & Street Photo-Walks are led by Tas Black, MA Photography and Visual Anthropology. Tas has published in numerous magazines and exhibited internationally and specialises in travel photography, social documentary, reportage photography and portraiture. These workshops suitable for DSLR, bridge and compact system cameras and run from 10-3.30.
We also run evening Light Trails & Night Photography Photo-Walks on the South Bank for DSLR and Compact System Cameras to practice long exposures and light trails (tripod required) from 6.30-9.30 pm.

Covent Garden to China Town
We meet at 10am in the Cafe Nero 83/84 Long Acre, Covent Garden, WC2E. We will spend time in the Covent Garden Piazza where we will spend 30 minutes discussing the settings on your digital camera. Then we take a leisurly stroll to put these skills into practice photographing “Living Statues”/street performers and a variety of café culture, “olde worlde”, shops and stalls, at one of London’s most famous landmarks. Our next stop will be Leicester Square, amongst the busy restaurants, theatres, caricature artists, and tourists before heading into China Town. After lunch we will stroll through to London’s famous China Town where we can take practice taking colourful photographs in this vibrant, culturally rich area, through Soho to Trafalgar Square.
The City & Borough Market to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London
We will meet at 10 am in the Wetherspoon's Crosse Keys Public House, 9 Gracechurch St, EC3V ODR. From there we will cross over London Bridge to Walk down the river-side to Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market. From here we progress along the South Bank past HMS Belfast to Tower Bridge. We will photograph Tower Bridge before moving on to the Tower of London where so many lost their heads! Your walk ends near St Katherine's dock.
Market Bliss - Bricklane
We will meet at 10 am in the Hamilton Hall Wetherspoons street-level Concourse, Liverpool Street Station - 32, Liverpool Street Station, London EC2M 7PY. From there we will take a short walk to Spitalfields Markets, Petticoat Lane Market and Bricklane Market in Shoreditch where retro meets vintage, and where the graffiti artist Banksy gained much of his recognition. Bricklane is buzzing on a Sunday with the wonderful and the unusual. This a good chance to really get out there and practice capturing people at their best.

We will meet at 10 am upstairs in the Caffe Nero 53 Notting Hill Gate, W11 3JS, Then we will go out to capture the sights of Portobello's iconic market - the world’s largest antiques market with over 1,000 dealers selling every kind of antique and collectible. Visitors flock from all over the world to discover one of London’s best loved landmarks which contains the most extensive selection of antiques in Britain.

Twilight by the Thames - an Evening Walk
We will meet at 6.30 pm at the Caffe Nero, Lancaster Place, 2 Lancaster Place, WC2E 7EA. From Waterloo Bridge we will slowly make our way along the South Bank to Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. The view of our great London city doesn't get any better than an evening on Waterloo Bridge - The London eye lit up, the Houses of Parliament at sunset, the reflections in River Thames, the night life on the South Bank. Learn how to photograph during the golden hour and into the night and practice your low light photography skills to capture London at night. You will need a digital camera with the ability to set both aperture and shutter speed and a tripod (we can loan tripods). This walk runs from 6.30-9.30pm. *Bridge cameras are not recommended for this photo-walk as some techniques will not be possible. However if you would like to speak to us about bringing a Bridge camera please email richard-berry@goingdigital.co.uk and request a call back.
Locations for our Smartphone Photography Workshops - Smartphones only:
If you would like to learn how to take better pictures with your smartphone and understand how to use a variety of different Apps to edit them, this course is ideal for you. What you will learn: what Apps to use, how to compose a great photograph, the creative use of light, how to crop your images for creative effect and make brightness, colour and contrast adjustments, how to use filters to transform your images and add artistic flare, how to easily create amazing photo collages, and finally how to share your images. These 3 hour workshops are led by tutor Richard Berry.
